Caran D'Ache's sturdy pencil sharpening machine is a fan favourite. This tool is made of solid metal and is meant to last. It includes a clamp that allows it to be secured to a table to keep it from slipping when sharpening pencils. Round, hexagonal, and triangular pencils can be sharpened within a diameter of 4 - 10mm. The butterfly clamps open the metal teeth, allowing pencils to be inserted and retrieved from the slot. The angle of the sharpener's blade may be adjusted by pressing the button in the centre of the crank, giving the sharpened pencil a longer point.  A large metal drawer on the side of the sharpener collects shavings and allows them to be conveniently disposed of. The drawer will simply re-slide into place.
